Schooling Horse of the Year: Amrita Ibold and her stallion Pan Tau. Nominated for their March 2007 journal entry on the Sweet Water Farm website.
Publicity Award: Eron Owens. Nominated for her great article in the June 2007 Equine Journal on the Akhal-Teke Association affiliations page.
Accomplished Breeders Award: Terri Fender. Nominated for the 2004 purebred gelding Flashback by Peiter out of Miranda. Placed 6th against all other breeds in the Northeast Dressage Association Fall Festival of Breeds show in the class of sport horse prospects. USDF and USEF sanctioned.
Golden Achievement Award: Martha Bowles. Nominated for her invaluable and continuous service in various positions on the Board of Directors over the past twelve years. She has served as steering committee president in 1995, and directed the development of the bylaws, rules and regulations and incorporation of our association. Martha has been responsible for helping secure the ATAA registries and horses pedigrees along with providing irreplaceable support in the role of association secretary in recent years.
Leadership Award (tie): Lyn Busacca and Lucy Kester. Lyn is nominated for her tireless presidential effort in leadership and in keeping the registry organized and maintained on a smooth operational level in 2007. Lucy is nominated for her tremendous efforts in documenting and securing the pedigrees of ATAA registered purebreds and sporthorses. Lucy has held the offices of membership committee chair and nominations chair, along with publishing the ATAA membership roster and annually publishing the bylaws, rules and regulations.
Intermediate Endurance: Bettina Kohen. Nominated for her AERC 50 mile competitions on her purebred mare Galina in 2007.
Dressage Award: Flashback the 2004 purebred gelding by Peiter out of Miranda. Placed 6th against all other breeds in the Northeast Dressage Association Fall Festival of Breeds show in the class of sport horse prospects. USDF and USEF sanctioned. Bred by Terri Fender.
Eventing Award: Goklen the purebred stallion owned and ridden by Eron Owens. Nominated for his consistently high scores in USEA sanctioned events. Goklen was the stallion featured in the June 2007 Equine Journal article.
