Welcome to Akhal-Teke Canada, celebrating and promoting the Akhal-Teke breed of horse in Canada.

Our goal is to help promote these amazing Argamaks and just to admire and enjoy them. Join us to help develop a fun and friendly group where we can both enjoy and learn more about Akhal-Tekes!

Make sure to check out our blog and send us your posts! Send us information and photos of your Akhal-Tekes so we can do a profile of them or send in a posting about what is going on.

And visit (both virtually and in person!) the Akhal-Teke stud farms in Canada. There are currently a huge group of Akhal-Tekes in Calgary, with two stud farms located there, and one in Lumby, BC as well as a growing number of new owners with Akhal-Teke horses.

The Russians have organized and kept the official Akhal-Teke studbook through VNIIK (the Russian state scientific institution).

At this time the government of Turkmenistan is now taking back the studbook and is accepting applications into the newly formed International Akhal-Teke Horse Association for free. We will post updates to the changes as we learn about them.
